4th International Conference on Polyolefin Characterization (ICPC) to be held October 21 – 24 in Houston.
We are pleased to announce that the 4th International Conference on Polyolefin Characterization & Short Course on Polyolefin Characterization Techniques will be held October 21 – 24, 2012 in Houston area, TX, USA.
Intended for all researchers both academic and professionals, ICPC has become the meeting point par excellence for worldwide scientists in the field. The Technical Program will consist of different sessions covering Separation and Fractionation, Molecular Structure and Properties, Morphology, Thermal Analysis, Rheology and Spectroscopy.
The ICPC Conference was born in 2006 to satisfy the need for an international conference specifically focused on polyolefin characterization. Previous editions have been celebrated in Houston, TX, U.S.A. in 2006, in Valencia, Spain in 2008 and in Shanghai, China in 2010. With attendees coming from 24 countries and from the leading polyolefin players, ICPC Conference has clearly become the international meeting for polyolefin characterization experts.
As part of the Conference program, a Short Course on Polyolefin Characterization techniques is scheduled on October 21st at the same venue. This one-day intensive course is an ideal way to learn the main concepts about Polyolefin Microstructure, GPC Basics and Applications, Chemical Composition Distribution (CRYSTAF, TREF and CEF), Cross Fractionation, High Temperature HPLC and Preparative Fractionation.
Within its three past editions, the ICPC Conference has received the support of many leading Chemical, Polymer, Research and Instrumentation companies, such as Agilent Technologies, Anton Paar, Borealis, The Dow Chemical Company, the Dutch Polymer Institute (DPI), ExxonMobil Chemical, Lyondellbasell, Malvern Instruments, Polymer Char, Polymer Standards Service (PSS), Postnova Analytics, Progression, SCG Chemicals, Waters Corporation or Wyatt Technology.
The conference will be accompanied by Posters Sessions, a Booth area and Vendor speeches.
There has been a special edition of Macromolecular Symposia published –by Wiley-VCH- dedicated to each ICPC edition, edited by Prof. João Soares of the University of Waterloo.
